PCMCIA 2 MB Memory cards $59

Small enough to throw into a purse or briefcase –– large enough for touch-typing. Full-blown PC, ideal for word processing, spreadsheet or any other DOS based application. Measures only 9 by 5 inches closed. Operates from an included AC adapter or 2.4 volt Nicad battery pack.

Nine-pin RS-232 port connects directly to your desktop computer or an external modem. Data maybe archived on optional PCMCIA memory cards residing in hidden compartments located on either side of the keyboard.

Unlike traditional desktop computers, the Poqet PC Plus maintains its memory––even when it is turned off. Turning the computer off places it in "sleep" mode; when it you turn the computer back on, it instantly returns you to the exact spot in the program where you were, without to rebooting or reentering any commands.

The Poqet PC Plus accepts both Type I and type II PCMCIA cards for data storage, modems and wireless communications.

Text and graphics appear sharp and clear thanks to the Poqet PC Plus’s use of transflective LCD screen, with on-demand backlighting for use in areas reduced lighting.

Data is retained either in concealed PCMCIA memory cards or internal semi-permanent flash memory. The Poqets PC Plus’s unique, full screen, 25-line display provides clear sharp images in either CGA-graphics/text mode or the older MDA text only mode. Screen can be programmed to display either 40 or 80 columns characters wide. Power saving settings allow you to determine how battery power is conserved, permitting one battery charge to last between 2 and 8 hours of active use. (California Digital offers additional Poqet NiCad batteries and desk chargers. Also external modem.)

Boot the computer from internal MS-DOS 5.0 on the C-drive or from a PCMCIA memory card. Internal drive "D" stores 1-MB of flash ROM; 128KB for BIOS and the remainder of the ROM is available for user application programs.

Adjustable clock speed, from 2MHz. to 16MHz, will be a factor on the operating hours of the battery. Keyboard strokes and screen display are selectable to 15 different European languages.

The original price, of these previously owned, Fujitsu PC Plus computers was over $2,000. These computers were used by the sales force of a Fortune 500 company. Computers are in excellent condition and come with a six-months warranty.
